y the invitation of Igor Mezentsev (creator of the project "Topot") and chef Eugene Klopotenko, famous international gastronomic experts and journalists visited Ukraine to evaluate the best local gastronomic locations. Amongst those experts were the famous lovenian gastronomic journalist Kaja Sajovic (Kaja Sajovic), independent Croatian journalist Hrvoje Petric (Hrvoje Petric) who advises restaurants and international festivals. Hungarian writer and gourmet Andras Jokuti will also join the evaluation of Ukrainian establishments. . As well as Italian gastronomic journalist of Belarusian origin Anastasia Avramenko, who is a regular contributor to Tuorlo magazine and a correspondent for Identità golose.
The honour to be the first venue on the route was given to ZIA Restaurant (former Vogue Café, located on the second floor of the Fairmont Grand Hotel Kyiv). At the moment, the restaurant is in the process of renovation, but gastronomic journalists visited for a pre-introduction with tasting menu from the chef, Hayk Veyshtort. According to Hayk, the set menu is a combination of several cultures - Ukrainian and European, as well as modern techniques.
